After playing Aleste 1 and 2 for the Game Gear, I've concluded that Compile shooters are awesome and that I must own as many of them as possible. To that end, I'm trying to list all of the company's shmups. Here's what I've got so far:

NES:
Gun Nac
Zanac
Half of The Guardian Legend

SMS:
Power Strike/Aleste
Power Strike/Aleste II

Sega Genesis:
M.U.S.H.A./Aleste

Game Gear:
GG Aleste
GG Aleste II

TurboGrafx/TurboDuo:
Blazing Lazers/Gunhed
Spriggan
Spriggan Mark II

SNES:
Space Megaforce/Super Aleste
Spriggan Powered (?)

Sega CD
Robo Aleste/Denim Aleste

PSX:
Zanac X Zanac (Anyone play this?)

Feel free to add to this, or to mention Compile's non-shooters, like Golvellius, Shadowrun, or even the accursed Puyo Puyo series.

Ahhhhhhhhhh.....

Masters of the top down shooter......I feel warm and fuzzy all over!

Zanac
Zanac X Zanac
Power Strike
M.u.s.h.a.
Space Megaforce
The Guardian Legend
Blazing Lazers

Got all the above except Power Strike...

Zanac x Zanac iz the shizz-nitt! I've had this game for about a year...its mad fun...one of my favs...

Choice of 3 ships...
each having different attacks depending what number you pick up,
begins with classic last stage from old Zanac and re-mixed 1st stage music...

Intense stages, great new powerups, huge bosses...sweet music, some of the best...surpise ending if you play it on hardest level...you gotta try this game!

Stage 6 music..."Snowfield Story"...so good, I burnt it to cd format and listen to it in the car.....Geoooww! 8-)

Compile kicks ass. One of these days I have to track down Zanac X Zanac.

For a Compile non-shmup, Golvellius is great... did anyone ever see the MSX2 sequel? I've been curious about it for quite some time.
