I was thinking about picking up a couple of DC systems and a couple of copies of Hydro Thunder and hooking them up to 2 separate tv's so I can play 2 player and both players would have their own tv with full view. Is this possible or no?
Thanks!
The Dreamcast had a serial cable for just this sort of use; however, not many games made use of this feature. I know Virtua On did, but I am not too sure of the others (though I know there are). Does the Hydro Thunder back cover mention anything about this, whether in the text or in the "game symbols?"

Hydro Thunder's back case doesn't state it's compatible with the serial cable and the booklet doesn't mention it either, it just says that two players can play with one TV where the screen is cut in half. Since it doesn't mention the serial cable here, I'd say it's not compatible with that hook-up.

The Japanese version of Sega Rally 2 supports serial network linking. ;)

I don't think Hydro Thunder allowed for that option. It was a launch title, and seems to have been rushed out the door a little; the game certainly would have benefitted from a 4-player mode, like SF Rush 2049.
I loved Hydro Thunder; terrific game on every count, even though it didn't seem to thrill others as much as the other games. Whatever. It's their loss. I would kill for a 4-player deathmatch mode; a game like this would be perfect for it.

Either Quake or Unreal also used the seriel (packed away ATM though)
