Sega Mega CD (Sega CD) problem.

I bought a Mega CD today for £1, as it was so cheap I figured it probable didn't work. I was right, anyway I removed the blown fuse as talked about here http://www.digitpress.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=32571. Yay it powers up, ok so time to put it all back together. Once that's done I set it all up and stuck a game in and it just sits on the intro screen, try another game and the same. :(

Next I try a music cd just to see if it is the cd-rom that is the problem but they work 100%, anyone got any ideas?.

Are you using the right region discs with your Mega CD (e.g. PAL discs on a PAL console?)

All of the laser wire harnesses properly oriented and connected? Sounds like laser trouble.
