This probably sounds insane but, is there a way to connect my DC to a pc with a phone cable and then connect to my cable internet connection with the DC through the pc?

And yes I'm aware that there is a broadband adaptor availible for the DC but I'm broke at the moment :( , thanks.

I don't think so. I'm pretty sure that the only way to get broadband on your DC is to get the broadband adapter.

Not insane, quite doable.

First, which Operating System (OS) are you using on your computer? Second, does your computer have a modem in it? Answer these and I'll tell you what to do next.

Well, I just put a box together with this in mind, here are the specs:
PIII 733mhz
5.4gig HD
256m Ram
56k Voice/Fax Modem
A generic NIC
Since WinXp is what I'm used to thats on there at the moment, but if I need to put in another OS it's not a big deal.
