View Full Version : Sega Genesis Model 1 CD player question
I am about to buy a Model 1 Genesis & Model 1 cd player. It only has the 2 power supplies & av cable. Is this all I need or is there a hook up cable that conects the Genesis to the front loading CD player? If there is, is this cable special or can I use something else as a replacement?

and it's Sega CD, not CD player. :P
How much you gonna pay, get a good deal! I like the Model 1 Sega CD more than the model 2, it's much "classier" looking I'd say.
Ok, to make sure I got it straight. Each unit plugs in and the av hooks up to which unit? The 2 units don't connect?

The model 1 genesis connects to the model 1 Sega CD. It sits on top of it and is connected by a connector on the right hand side of the Genesis.
The power cords go into the Sega CD and the Sega Genesis...and the AV or RF cord goes into the Sega Genesis and connects to the TV.

Good luck! Just be sure to check and make sure the cords are the correct one's first....hate to get stuck with a SNES adapter! LOL
