Heads up on this: if you're a collector you might want to hold out for the cardboard-box version of the game. This one was released at the end of the cardboard-box era for Sega CD, most of the time this game appears in the plastic (Saturn style) case instead.

I am a collector but just need a good complete play copy. I would prefer the jewel case version. I believe there was a hint book or guide published for this game as well. Does anyone know for sure?

Yes they did make one. It was pretty small (palm sized). I had one back when I was heavy into the Sega CD. Not sure whatever happened to it. :o

I know the thread is kind of old but I found my old copy today while cleaning out a spare closet. :)

It's 64 pages and was printed by Dynamix in 1994. There is no ISBN number but the barcode is 020626026543.

Included amoung the pages are early sktech drawings of some of the locations and some of the story boards they created before production of the game began.

One of the interesting notes says that the main character (Blade Hunter) was developed over a two year period from simple sketches to the final digitized computer images in the game.
