And that game is Roll Away (bad pun not intended!) I had never seen or heard of this one before today, but saw it in stack of used games and it look appealing. For those not in the know, you control a beach ball to collect coins and gems by rolling around a 3D puzzle. It sounds a little questionable, but it's really quite an addictive puzzle game. I was just planning to test it out tonight, and ended up investing 90 minutes. Sheesh!

Anyone else familiar with this one?

(Here's an old, lonely post!)

I picked this up a few days ago and can't stop playing! It should be called Life Away. I really like how it uses your score instead of a limited number of balls. One of the worst levels was the one where there are just 4 or 5 blocks, but they're all covered in fire (except the one you start on). Eek!

Only $4.99 at GameStop though it's a bit hard to find.

Wow, talk about a forgotten post ;)

Good to hear you picked it up, Keir. More people should. It's a good one, though I admittedly haven't touched it in a while.

No doubt that Roll Away ranks up there as one of the best PSX puzzlers next to Devil Dice.

I remember buying that game back when it released. It's got the trappings of a classic puzzle game: Easy to learn, tough to master.

Hmmm that game sounds familiar is it anything like the PAL release "Kula World" sound like it could be the same game re-named or something.

Speaking of addicited, I can't get off of this damn 'freebie' I found. It's called "I'm the Chef!" and it's in the Imports section of the PS Underground 4.1 Disc 1 set.

It's like playing the 32 Bit version of Pressure Cooker, but you're a sushi bar instead. You have to make beer, cook ramen, chop vegatables, chase theives. wash dishes, and more, all with the analog sticks. Patrons yell out in joy or frustration a la Theme Park as you try your damndest.

I stumbled onto it last night, and have already spent about 4 hours on it. I may just have to do an FAQ! :D

Yes Kula World is the original european title for the game. It was called Roll Away in the US and Kula Quest in japan. The idea for the game came from a dream the author had, he woke up, made a little drawing of it and went back to sleep.

Exactly, it's the same as the Euro "Kula World". Kula is, for some reason, one of the most expensive Euro games to get your hands on, though Roll Away is a dime a dozen here. Strange.

I do believe that game is called "Ore no Ryouri" at most import shops. It's currently in stock at shop.himeya.com for $28.00

Hi, I'm new here and I have a question about the game. I finished world 9 but there was no save option! There was no save option after finishing levels 1-5 of world 10 either. Is it because I used a cheat to access the otherwise inaccessible hidden level 9?

Man, I love Kula World. I got my complete copy for cheap about a year ago. I believe this was one of the demos I constantly played as a kid, others being Tombi and Ghost in the Shell. Good times.

Yes, Finnish like yourself, the location shows under my icon. I don't remember quite specifically if any of these were paired togheter in a demo but I have a vague memory of playing Ghost in the Shell and Kula World from the same disc.

Also Tombi is Tombi here because Tomba means grave in italian or something.
