Viewtiful Joe: Do I just suck?

Alright, so I finally started playing through this. I managed to get to the final boss on stage 6. I've tried fighting him at least 20 times, and the best I can do is to just barely get all of the green off of his energy bar. I've read the Boss FAQs out there, and I'm even on kid mode, and this guy always just kicks my ass. Anyone else have this problem?

The game is certainly challenging. I also have not beaten the boss you are referring to. I haven't tried it on kid mode, but I wouldn't be surprised if its still tough. Regardless, I still think its one of the best games of the past year.

i had a problem on fire leo too. i was pressing jump instead of up to dodge so i couldn't get any hits in on him. just thought i'd mention it because i've talked to at least a couple of other people who were doing the same thing. i didn't think the game was that hard, especially when you compared it to some older games.

I just got up to him yesterday! YUP. he is hard. I cant even figure out how to get an effective hit off of him, though I have done it twice. Cant figure out what I did though....maybe I should check a faq.

God, I bought that game when it first came out, got pretty far untill I had to beat these robots that looked like fire leo I do belive, they just kicked the living crap out of me. But I do think I remember correctly since its been almost 5-6 months now.

When the price at EB dropped to $20 new for VJ, I ordered a copy immeadiately. It came a few days ago but I didn't have a chance to play until yesterday. Damn, this game is really fun and the graphics are viewt---I mean beautiful.
