FT: homemade NES Earthbound carts

This is the game known as Mother in Japan and often called "Earthbound Zero" in the US. I have 3 carts, but want to keep one for myself. All work perfectly, and one was played through to completion.

Rather than sell (or auction) the two, I'd prefer to work a trade for some rare ColecoVision games, notably Kevtris, Ms Space Fury, Power Lords, or other CGE-released games. Since I haven't posted here much, feel free to check my feedback at eBay (jhd7). Also, it may be better to email me directly at jhd7@lazerlink.com than post a reply here, as I don't visit as much as I should.

Just curious.... why $10? It cost a lot more than that to put together, and that doesn't include the time spent. -Jeff D

I figure there are 2 ways to add up a figure:

Cost of eproms (~$20) + Cost of donor (~$8) +

Either:

Eprom writer (~$200?) and Soldering equipment and wires

or

Someone else's labor and time ($?)

So a base on average of $28, plus either $200 for the eprom writer (even divided among 10 carts is $20 each), or labor, depending on how nice the guy is (Lets say $25, ballpark), gives you pretty much a cost of $50 per cart.

Rarity or collectibility wise, they are worth zero. (Because they always can be made on demand, are made with readily available code, and will eventually die). But value, is at least $50. You pay for the ability to play a game you wouldn't normally play on a NES, on a regular NES.

Tack on more cash if you went to Kinko's to get a nice glossy finished label (not THAT much, I know).
