Just wanted to chime in and get everyone's opinion on this. I store my loose Genesis & SNES games in the top two drawers of a small, 4 drawer Walmart DIY dresser. The bottom two drawers house my myriad controllers. It is a very classy and understated way to store your stuff.

Anyway, I began to run out of room, so I followed a friend's method and turned them all up on their sides because they have a smaller profile that way. Problem is, you can't tell what game is what. So, I got small return address labels and printed spine labels for them with the title of the game in Zrnic (Playstation) font. They actually look pretty cool. It is especially good for N64 and 32X games as the labels are the perfect size.

What do you all think of this and have any of you done the same?

I am aware that this decreases the value of the games, but I collect for myself, not for value.

Why would labels decrease the value of the games? It sound like you're attaching them to bare plastic which means it's removable. (:

i do that on almost all of my games that dont have end labels. SMS, N64, Jaguar, SFC, 5200, 8-bit atari and so on. no harm done and i can see the game i want without shuffling. on the other hand my 2 year old gets a real kick out of peeling them off so its pretty haphazard looking now.

If you collect for yourself you should just write the names on the sides with a Sharpee. Save you some time printing labels.
