I know what machine you are talking about I think. The 4 player one were Maggie gets stolen? If so yea that is a really cool arcade. And as for console games I like Road Rage despite it just being a knock off.

Simpson: Arcade game is the best. I also have fond memories of Bart Vs The Space Mutants when I was younger. I recently got bart vs the world and hate it.

The 4-Player arcade Simpsons is the best. I also liked Virtual Bart.
I found the Simpsons Hit & Run a little overrated. :o

The arcade game was the only one i found enjoyable. All the others I've played have been exercises in frustration.

I think the arcade one's the only one I've played, and it rocks! I really wish it was available outside the arcade (besides mame)

Oddly enough, there was a port of the Simpsons arcade game to the PC... The PC hardware of the time wasn't all that great, though.
That was the only port, except perhaps for a PC Engine (TG16) port that I've heard some people mention. I suppose Acclaim held the rights to release Simpsons games on all consoles at the time and refused to let Konami's fantasic game in. (This is speculation.)

The Arcade version kicks so much ass. I am so mad that NO ONE has ported it to a console yet! It would have been an awesome unlockable in one of the recent Simpsons games if it was an exact port. Especially if it's the 4 player one.
One day I loaded up MAME and set all the characters to the same keys and beat the entire game with 4 players by myself. It was fun.
As for Consoles, I think Road Rage is the best. It's a Crazy Taxi copy, but it's just as fun. And way replayable.
Road Rage was okay, but I found out I don't get into GTA games much. So I got stuck in it and couldn't find myself wanting to play anymore. (Same thing happened with GTA. I get to a point.. I can't beat.. I give up.)
As for Fun House, DAMN.. That was great, but I got stuck as well, but the music is still great on the SNES one. The puzzles were cool for mte most part, but it got really hard later on.
The NES games are meh. As are the other ones. Just those three are good. And the Arcade, which I would just DIE if I came across a cheap one.

What pisses me off is with all the really really nice cel shaded cartoony games out there, Simpsons and Futurama look the worst. WTF?
I mean, seriously. If Road Rage, Hit and Run and Futurama looked like say JSRF or the latest Tales of Symphonia, it would literally BE a cartoon game.
*sigh*
Let's hope if they do another Simpsons game, it actually gets done right this time.

I like Hit & Run a lot, definitely my favorite. I also have fond memories of the arcade, but the game just gets real old after a couple of levels. Way too repetitive.

The Simpsons Arcade Game by Konami, hands down the best (Yet after playing it, the characters haven't been updated in a long time, mostly based off of seasons 1-3)
Simpsons Hit and Run is the best by far and the most excellent usage of one liners in one game.

Hit & Run is my top favorite. I also enjoyed the arcade game, Virtual Bart, and Road Rage (despite the awful load times on the PS2 version).

YES!! fellow Simpsons Arcade fans!
Simpsons arcade was what created my famous "videogame stance"
Basically standing upright, leaning to wards the screen, and moving the pad around physically in my hands like a streering wheel!
The excitement of Simpsons Arcade created this!!!!
FAB GAME, along with Turtles, im in heaven

well like i said if me or my friend finds the ROM to the game we would be able to port it on a empty GBA cart, and also we might put in new levels and a difficulty setting from easy, normal, hard, very hard, and maybe a MASTERS setting which if u beat the game in MASTERS u get to have a setting which allows u to get the other 3 players in the game to help u out in the levels.
Also since its a 4 player game i will make it possible to play with other players with this game by link cables, and the DS will allow the same but wireless linking!!!!!!!! :D

I homestly didn't like Hit and Run. It got way too repttitive way too fast. In the gta games, there were missions where you had to do things like get out of the car and do cool things, but in a car, there are only so many things you can do.
Road Rage is by far my fav Simpsons game. At leasy in that game, it was pretty obvious that it was repetitive.
I also liked Bart's Nightmare I think it was called for SNES.
Don't get me wrong, I love beat-em-ups, but they get super repetitive, super fast.
