Guncon 2 (and Stunner) Question

I want to pick up a Guncon 2 for my PS2 but Ive noticed that is uses a composite video pass thru(?) and I use component video cables so do I have to step down to composite to use a Guncon 2?

On a semi related note, can I use the Japanese version of the Stunner gun on my US Saturn?

Japanese stunner works fine with a US system. I think you MAY be able to use just hte USB port for the Guncom 2. I'm not sure tho.

The Guncon (and Guncon 2) works perfectly fine with component video. Feed it the video signal from the green cable, since it carries the same sync information that would be on a composite signal. I've done it myself, and it works great. Of course, if you're using an HDTV, there's a very good chance it's not going to work.
