I went to the market to day and found a few ok things- $4 for Shark Attack and a pile of 2600 instructions (needed a few like Fun With Numbers- cart not there) and $1(!) for 5 complete Intellivision games with some orphan parts (boxes pretty worn.)
Then I found a 2600 Heavy 6'er in the box with support cardboard and talked the guy down to $23 for it, with a 2 in 1 original joystick set from Atari and a Honey Bee. I didn't have enough cash so he said he would hold it for me while I went to get some money. Literally, less than 2 minutes later, after I got a twenty from my wife, I run back and I see some other game geek walking away with my set. I go back to the vendor and ask him what happened- he said 'Sometimes people don't come back.' So I just said 'That is really lame,' and left, downtrodden. I needed a set like this for my collection- I have all manner of complete 2600s, just no heavy sixer. F^CK!
Last time I hit the flea market with less than $80 in my pocket.
