I apologize if this has been asked many times before, but is there a program that makes cataloguing games any easier than manually entering everything?
Thanks,

...but are there any good ones where you can save the data on your own computer. I never trusted the idea of putting tons of work into compiling a database only to find that the website that hosts it decided to stop offering the service or turns it into a pay only service.

I actually use Pocket Excel on my Pocket PC. Then I sync it up to my computer whenever I update it. On the computer, I have the excel spreadsheets linked into an Access database where I have my queries for games I have, need, boxed, complete, etc. Works for me.

I use Pocket Excel to do it also. Simple, up-front, convenient, and you can take it everywhere.
