Has anybody ever been to this store? It's in NYC, Chinatown. I was there yesterday for the first time. I was impressed by there wide selection of titles. They had Neo Geo AES and CD titles, Saturn domestic and import, Super Famicom, N64, etc. THe only down side to the place was that they are so expensive. The prices are so damned high. I would have picked up many games had they been more reasonable. I left with only my money. An unusual thing for me when I go to import shops. Oh well.

They are definitely on the high side (as is Multimedia 1.0 for most stuff). I did get a Hori GC pad and Japanese GBPlayer for fair prices. I also got a Dragon Drive for GC for $30, used but in good condition, and Strikers 1945 II JP for PSX for $20. Not fantastic, but reasonable.

The only 2 stores that seriously carry retro stuff are Multimedia 1 and J&L in NY, I'm not sure if Multimedia 1 is still around but when my bro lived in East Village it was so convenient to stop by, our member geelw is the manager there.

The problem, of course, is the price, especially if you're into Neo-Geo but they manage to sell some of the games at sky high prices, the reason, it's in a store and people sometimes would rather buy and get them right away, knowing they won't be scammed and can inspect the games very carefully before putting your cash down. On eBay or onine, you have to wonder sometimes if your stuff will ever arrive.

The owner of J&L is Leslie, he goes to Asia once a while to get those imports, there're few other game shops on Canal St that pop up some surprises sometimes, I got a brand new copy of Metal Slug X AES for $190 from Penguine Village back in 1999.

I have been to J and L a few times. Has anyone actually bought anything from that store? The prices are so high that I think they are a laundering front for the Triads. People talk about that store all the time, but do they have any business at all? I dont think so. Maybe at a closer glance someone can tell us something about that place.
