Help with cleaning an infectious NES cart...

So I bought this copy of Track and Field II for the NES that barely works. I've cleaned the hell out of it with water/rubbing alcohol and a q-tip, but it never gets any better (the q-tips come out perfectly white at this point.) I know it's not permanently damaged, because I have occasionally been able to coax it work for me.

What's most interesting about this cart is that, when I'm stupid enough to actually sitck the dumb thing in the NES (a front-loader), no other games will work until I basically take the cover off, get my face in there close to the connectors, and blow like crazy, jarring loose whatever nasty thing the cart is leaving behind.

Anybody have any advice?

Try cleaning it with a WHITE eraser. Either that or get a top loader. ;)

or get another copy. not like its worth much anyways :P

Or try it in a friends NES.....or an enemies. :)
