I live in Davis and started collecting around 6 months ago. Besides Ebay, I've been going to Denio's/Trader Dan's in Roseville and was wondering if anyone from the area had suggestions. I'm primarily into NES and genesis right now because they are cheap and not hard to find. Also, I'm not too worried about boxes and instructions - loose carts are fine.
Thanks!
(PS The Berryessa flea market in San Jose is another spot I'm going to hit up soon)

I certainly hope you'll be at Classic Gaming Expo on Aug 21&22.... right in your backyard, lots of games and collectors to trade with!

I'm in Santa Clara and have been collecting since 97. You're right, Denio's is good, I've found a top-loader, CV steering wheel, and 5200 Zaxxon there in past visits. The Berryessa flea is nice also, there's a bunch of 2600 commons there now if you're interested (my best find was a 5200 Meteorites). Most NES games seem $5 there. 4jays in Antioch has a walk-in store.

That is kinda north....but really I live in Redding and have been collecting seriously since 98. You may want to try Auburn, there is a place called Game Courntry that is awsome. Tons of old stuff, non chain game store that has been there for days.
now Redding, that is North in the boonies.....I love living in a place that is far from anywhere LOL

thanks to everyone for the leads - I'd be down to make a trip to the real northern california if it's worth it.
