Wow, very impressive. o_O But like others have said, I'd like to see them all complete. I don't know why but Super Famicom and "complete" go hand-in-hand for me. I have 15 SFC games, and every single one is complete. Part of it is just because they're such a massive pain to store and stack when they're loose, but another reason is because I frickin' LOVE Super Famicom packaging. The quality varies, of course, but most games seem to have cool packaging.

I've got 10ish complete games and 5ish cart-onlys, with my favorite being Mario & Wario in a very large box including the SNES mouse and pad (There is no difference between the SNES and SFC mice).

But does he have Far East of Eden Zero: Shouren no Jump Shou? That is like the NWC cart of the SFC.
Is that any different than Far East of Eden Zero? I can't seem to find anything about the title you posted.
Regular Far East of Eden Zero is worth $20-$30 tops, and merely uncommon. No where near worth $1000, and no where near as rare.

The special FEoEZ was given away in a contest in a Magazine, and I heard there were fewer than 300 copies made. There are a few new scenes added to the game, I believe. The only time I have seen it was on a Yahoo Japan auction, and it was being sold for about $2000 US.

This is just a guess, but shouldn't it be "Far East of Eden Zero: Shounen no Jump Shou" as in the magazine Shounen Jump?
Any idea what the added scenes are like? Maybe more special events and holidays for the in-game clock system? Far East of Eden Zero is a pretty spiffy game, definitely worth the 2.99 I paid for it. :P

Yeah, the game was given away in a contest by Shounen Jump. I don't know what scenes are different, and the game is not emulated by anything yet, so there is no clear documentation. The game itself wasn't even dumped until a couple of years ago.
As for the cart differences:
Far East of Eden Zero (standard)

HYA !
It`s me, the guy maintaining superfamicom.de and after almost 2 years I`m here to answer you:
1. But does he have Far East of Eden Zero: Shouren no Jump Shou ?
Not yet.
2. BTW, how many SFC games were published officially ?
My list has 1439 Super Famicom games. There could be some missing game(s), but I haven`t heard of any for years now, so I think it`s at least 99,999% complete.
3. Atleast my games are all complete with mint maps, manual and boxes. So take that random guy who owns all those games... yeah. Nyah
Sorry, but look at this -> http://www.superfamicom.de/S/Sammlung.htm (some of my complete games, didn`t update since 2003)
4. That is really crazy how many games are in that picture! Shocked
There were over 700 games on the floor when I took the picture in 2004. They didn`t fit on a single photo so you can only see like 500 games ;)
5. So, I guess that guy's list isn't complete.
Well, I only put games you could buy in stores on that list. Special Games like all the BS-X or not-for-sale stuff will get their own list (someday).

Cool collection!
I'm near finishing a REAL complete SFC collection, which means all games with ALL BOXES & instructions ( for me collecting loose carts isn't interesting and too "easy" :)
I'm 1275 titles,still 175 or so to go :)
I have collection pics on Game rooms section, which is down, but normally it was:

Ahh, nice to hear that from one of the most impressive collector`s. Last time I heard from you, you just finished collecting a perfect Neo Geo CD Collection. It looks like we europeans are hardcore collector`s :)
You know, I just want to have every good game, getting all wouldn`t be a problem but just take up useless space ;)
And I`m into collecting for every system there is, so I would get into trouble if I wanted to have every game. My last SNES/SFC count was:
843 Super Famicom carts
124 complete JAP Games
054 complete US Games
017 complete PAL Games
My whole collection consists of over 3000 games and (much !) hardware.
Here are some pics:

I really need to take some new pics as I was just moving my stuff to another house when I was taking the pics so everything looks a bit disordered.

Hehe, you say that like it's a bad thing, Tom. Ngevan, if anyone around here gives you any flack about your collection, it's because they're jealous! I'm open about my jealousy, though: Your collection is awesome, and you're very kind for posting so many pictures.
Oh no, don't get me wrong, I like it a lot, and I am far too old to get jealous (maybe 20 years ago). Anyway, I gotta support my fellow country man.

Ah, sorry for misreading that. Anyway, it looks like your fellow countrymen are doing just fine without your support! I've already seen two collections in this thread that can be considered lifetime achievements. So, if there's ever a RoD Hall of Fame, I'm sure Germany will have a healthy representation!
France will get it too :)
As said earlier,i don't collect loose carts,it's just "too easy" to get complete collections like that.
And yes,i got my complete 100% factory sealed NG CDcollectino some years ago...the same way than for loose carts, because it was "too easy" to get all the 101/103 NGCD games, then getting them factory sealed was a challenge for me...i did the same for Jaguar & Lynx...
Then,i'm up to 18 complete collections :)

Thanks for the nice words Gideon, but don`t worry. We germans don`t have feelings, so no one can hurt us that way ;)
I`ve "only" got a mid-class collection, one guy over here has over 12000 games (which should be around 30% of all console games ever released) and I know many others who have 5000+.
Hmpfht, Just asking you guys that is Same Game Tsume Game (Cib) rare or expensive game for SFC?

Same Game is very common (in Japan), let`s say $5-8 for a complete one. AFAIK every horse racing game for the Super Famicom goes for $1 even if it`s complete.

As said earlier,i don't collect loose carts,it's just "too easy" to get complete collections like that.
Do you like to play very hard games, such as Choh Makaimura, and do you like to compare your scores to other folks? I don't mean to be sarcastic, that's just another type of challenge, and I'm just wondering if the collector mindset towards challenges carries over into what games one plays.
Actually, that question goes for anybody who tries to collect SFC complete only.
My answer: Sure, just so long as my blood doesn't boil. I find that Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts isn't that frustrating, as it's actually possible to survive quite a while in it, where games that dump you right back to a boss fight over and over will aggravate me.

Very nice. But having lived in Butzbach, Germany for three years, I can say that's not entirely true. "Drunk" is a feeling, right? 8-)
I kid because I love.
We Americans go bigger though, so the hardcore among us collect arcades instead of puny little Super Famicom games.
My Sinistar cab will crush like 400 of your games in Wave 1 alone. :D
Seriously though, I wonder how popular arcade collecting is internationally. Did Europe have the equivalent of the "golden age of arcades" or does the concept of a beautifully restored Food Fight cabinet elude you guys?
And though your pictures are down, I can imagine what a near complete collection of SFC carts would look like. Impressive indeed!
The UK has a decent Arcade collection group, with a 'famous' programmer Archer MacLean (Dropzone, Jimmy White Snooker, Mercury), collecting and restoring loads of Arcade cabs, he also owns many rare nice cabs. Then there is a company who goes around arcades in the UK, buying up old cabs and selling them on and so forth.
The arcades in Germany died in 1985, when the new law was introduced for the protection of minors. This virtually killed the German arcade scene overnight. There's a readers letter about it in Retro Gamer issue 18. A arcade collectors group emerged in Karlsruhe, but it's little stuff, compared to US and UK arcade collectors

Yes, unfortunately. I always feel sad and epty when I compare the full-packed arcades in japan adn the rest of asia.
In germany you go to arcades to find cheap whores, bad booze or drugs :(
It would be interestig to analyse though, what game system is number one for collectors in Germany.
There is quite a number for Neo Geo collectors´(though most of them jump to playing rather then collecting).

Yeah,we're near finishing SMS with the rare Robocop VS terminator CLASSIC BROWN version, really hard to get
I still need 5-10 games for SMS brazil,i mean the "unreleased" ones which came out in Brazil only...i refuse to pay $100 for Mickey Legend of Illusion then...:)
I still need instructions for my James Buster Douglas too...
And when i'll find a Mah-Jong HK SMS complete game for a reasonable price,i'll try to get it as well...but yes,the Euro SMS collection is now ended.
But getting Classic Brown Robocop VS terminator is way harder than getting Championship Hockey :)
anagrama
04-13-2006, 09:37 AM
I'm not really sure the Classic RvsT is *that* rare - sure, it's pretty hard to find, but not impossible if you're looking in the right places - I've seen about 4 or 5 since first hearing about it last year. And while it's fairly hard to find, it's not too expensive when it does surface.
Well,i saw Championship Hockey 10 times in the last month, and 4 times Les schtroumpfs autour du monde in the last year...so it is basically rarer than those 2 games, even if way cheaper :)

You train your fingers with it. There`s even a timer so you can see if you got faster. It`s as useful as the soft toy which waggles with it`s tail every time you switch the channel when you attach it to your TV antenna.
