Best Minesweeper times?

Some time ago there was a discussion here about Best times in Minesweeper. I don't remember the thread and I'm too lazy to look it up.

BUT, I do remember writing that I had a vague recollection of scoring either 19 seconds or 29 seconds on expert, and being challenged on it, with whoever it was challenging me writing that I was full of it.

Well, whoever wrote that, I was speaking from memory, and I think I must have been remembering wrong, and you were right.

NEVERTHELESS, I just now scored 27 seconds to complete the Intermediate level. Not as good as I remembered, but still pretty good. And this was with a standard ball-mouse.

So, anybody think they can do better? Honor system here, guys, though I do have a screenshot (NOT faked!) to back things up this time.

My mom beat beginner in 3 seconds but she only had to do two clicks. I've beat expert in 98 seconds.

Well let me say now for the record .. I have NEVER beaten expert .. it's not possible, I tell you!! :/

But I can still kick anyone's ass on Sonic 2, 2 player head to head ...

Most of the time expert comes down to a 50/50 guess. Very disheartening.

Unfortunatly even a real screenshot is easy to fake as you can manually edit the high scores file *chuckles*

I believe there was a cheat/glitch/egg (one of those, who knows which) that allowed one to cheat on this game. Can't remember any details. Anyone?

that isn't working for me.

I can consistenly get 80-100 seconds on intermediate, and I think I've broken 80 seconds a few times. I thought I was awesome at this game, I can't imagine getting 27 seconds on intermediate. I hardly ever play expert tho, it always comes down to at least a few guess in those corners...you hardly ever have to guess on intermediate.

That's why I always start the expert level by clicking in each one of the corners. Sometimes you die, sometimes you don't. There is a good chance that you'll open a nice area as well. :)

Best beginner- 9s (if I played long enough I'm sure I'd get a 2-click win or something)

Best intermediate- 46 seconds.

Best Expert- 139 seconds :) I love expert, but the 50/50's at the end are frustrating

Beginner - 3 seconds (two clicker)
Intermediate - 76 seconds
Expert - 243 seconds

Same. I did 6 seconds for sure, possibly less. Beginner pretty much comes down to luck, though.

I just played it last night on a laptop with the touchpad. I think nothing on this planet can be more frustrating than being forced to go slower because of lack of proper equipment. :angry:
