Could you guys give me some info on this console? How many games were released for it? Any info would be great!

I din't know how many games were released to this system but maybe the rarity guide can help you out with that. I do know that alot of nintendo's bigger games were made for that system (and ported to cart in the us) like metroid,castlevainia ect. :)
I dont have the Collectors Guide(although im seriously considering buying one) and the online guide doesnt have the SFD system in it?
Any more info? :D
