I just traded in my janky-assed 1st gen PS2 system + network adapter at Gamerush for a new PS2 online combo pack (the PS2 that is bundled with the network adapter and ATV 2). I really don't want to go thru the hassle of configuring the network adapter again. Can I just use the old network configuration files from my memory card and use them for this new one, or do I have to do it all over again?

There shouldnt be a problem with doing that. The NA's as far as I know are all the same. Also since ur still using the same connection and everything else that shouls all flow just fine

No you cant. I traded in my older PS2 and got a new one. The network config didnt recognize it. Its gonna tell you "This is a different PS2, do you want to delete your old config? You are gonna half to do it over again. Network configs are not tranferable to other PS2's.

No, you cannot use your old configuration file. The config file is somehow coded the specific console it was made with. Meaning, the file you have will only work on the PS2 it was made with.
You'll have to delete it and create a new one on your new PS2.
