Square Enix has put out many games including classics like the following Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, The majority of the Dragon Warrior/Quest and Final Fantasy series. How many of you remember sitting down and playing Final Fantasy 2(Snes) for the first time? Square Enix has helped give some of the best games of all time and will continue to do so. That is why I love Square Enix

Square-Enix changed my perception of games from being something that's just for fun to something that's truly art. I didn't have much money and it was always a game by Square-Enix (speaking in terms of current license holders) that would make me scrimp and save every penny to have the game for myself. I rented games all the time in my youth but Square-Enix games could rarely be completed in the span of a 2-day rental.
Even going past the fantastic series of Dragon Warrior and Final Fantasy games, you've got classics like Rad Racer, Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, Secret of Mana, Legend of Mana, Bushido Blade, Einhänder, Front Mission 3, Vagrant Story, Xeongears, Tobal 2, Brain Lord, Threads of Fate, Act Raiser, E.V.O.: Search for Eden, Ogre Battle, RoboTrek, Paladin's Quest, Soul Blazer, Valkyrie Profile, Super Mario RPG, Breath of Fire, and others. Even with the 20+ hour RPGs, I frequently go back to play them through again and it's always an absolute pleasure.

Some of us know ways around that 2 day rental thing.

I have to give credit to square for creating my all-time favorite game, Chrono Trigger. Though I'm still waiting for a true sequel. Chrono Cross was good and all, but I really want another game where I get to play as Crono .... :(

I loved Chrono Cross until they told me chrono was fucking dead!...that just left me feeling blah. I'm still wondering if what you did at the end will bring him back in Chrono Break if they ever make it or what not. Would be cool to play as Chrono again =D.

I came very close to choosing Square Enix, but they just haven't produced anything that's really gotten me excited for a while now. Hopefully, once the two companies really start working together, that'll change.
Besides, it's fun to say "Squeenix." :P

Plus they'll probably not release DQ5 here.

Chrono Trigger also has to be the main reason that I would cheer for Square Enix. Well, that and Seiken Densetsu 3 (greatest tile / sprite graphics of all time!), and maybe Final Fantasy IV and VII.
Do you think that Cloud Strife and Crono are really long-lost twins though? The spiky hair makes me suspicious.

Other than Dragon Quest, Seiken Densetsu and Saga I really don't care for most of the Square Enix titles.
