I remember seeing those, Wasn't there another piece (or more) to it though? I thought it came with a gun or something.

They definetly had one of those for the SNES. It was a replacement for the superscope. You could actually say 'fire' and it would shoot for you. Problem was they were totally inaccurate and SNES superscope games were never that popular anyways. I didnt know they had one for NES, but it is probably about the same except wthout the 'fire' mechanism. It is supposed to fit over your eye for improved aim, but it probably does not work at all.

this things awesome! i had 2 and i just sold one on ebay with laser scope,and yes it is accurate but the games made for it are very hard!

It's Konami Laserscope and yes that auction is complete. I have a CIB complete with $5 off coupon for Adventure of Bayou Billy :p (expired when I found one at Meijer for $4.99) It's OK and has regular and autofire option plus private listening feature. But it's not the best light gun and it only works for people with right eye prefs so lefty is out of luck.

The eye piece can detatch from the headset and you could use the headdset jiust for listening.
