You know, I love all these games. Especially when my wife tries to play the arcade versions. Ever see a pregnant woman try to dance techno? LOL

I'm no expert or nothing, but isn't that bad for the baby?

I've never tried any of them. Where's my choice for none of the above?
I shall have to refrain from voting since I've only played DDR.

I don't know much about paradise, but it must look a lot like a Japanese arcade.

I'll vote DDR.
Mainly because it's the only one that's more than just playing a game. For me, it actually serves other purposes, and it does a good job at them.

I'm going to say DDR unbiased. I have played Para Para, Dance Maniax, Drum Mania, and Guitar Freaks. GF is my second favorite, I'm slowly getting better and better at it. Someday I'm going to find either a Beatmania, Keyboard, or Pop'n, as I have not seen them before. I also have no clue what 'Martial Beat' is

Martial Beat was weird. It used a converted DDR cabinet with a HUGE overhead sensor array. You'd do karate moves to music. It looked as bizarre as it sounds.

I will vote for none and I will tell you why. (story time!)
In 2000, I ran the game room for Anime Central here in Chicago. Our crowning achievement was scoring a DDR machien that was on loan from Game Works for FREE PLAY and it rocked the house.
At con's end, the game room staff had some fun, and decided it was my place to go first since I got the damn thing. I stepped on it, choose the easiest song.
And I fell off on the third step.
Not missed....I FELL OFF THE MACHINE onto my butt. On the third step. Of the easiest song.
I have never touched DDR since. Not unless I'm using a controller and let my fingers do the walking. :)

A lot of people who are playing DDR for the first time trip all over the place. I know I did.

That's why it's best to start at home with a soft mat. There's less distance to fall. ;-)

I think when I first played DDR... (it was at a lazer tag place, maybe a year and a couple months ago?) I got laughed at. I sucked on BEGINNER mode. Ouch. I know that I still look like a moron, but I'd rather look like a moron doing 7ish foot songs than 1. I also had a shoddy pad I got off eBay with MAX2 for PS2, but just today recived my RedOctane pad. I'm glad to say..... that its the coolest pad ever, and that I should be getting up to 9 footers by the start of school :)

Well that it's better than being a normal moron.
Yes, you should definitely start DDR-ing at home. My first time at an arcade I played against a 10 year old girl. I kicked her ass. 8-)

I've never played a Konami Bemani game. o_O I think if I even showed interest in one my family would disown me and my boyfriend and buddies would leave me. :P If I was to get one, I'd like that Disney DDR on N64. Pretty unusual as far as N64 imports go, and the dance mat is pretty damn rare and expensive.
I am a madman (madwoman?) at the little dancing Felicia mini-game in SNK vs Capcom on Neo Geo Pocket Color, though. :)

DDR at home is a lot of fun, but two things:
1. A soft DDR mat will eventually wear out on you. Took several months for mine to go though (playing on Heavy, so I wasn't going at it lightly)
2. It's tough to then adjust to the arcade. My feet kill me when I play arcade, because I don't very often. I'm used to playing in socks, and then I go to the arcade, and my feet *ache* like nothing else!

You shold practice playing at home with your shoes on.
