I was thinking of picking a couple of these up at the local Game Crazy for $10 each (since the SNES controllers suck for SF2). Are they any good? Is $10 a piece too much?

Are you talking about the super advantage? If so yeah their alright i suppose. I have one and it never gave me any problems.

If you're talking about this, I highly recommend it.

Watch out...I remember there was some arcade style stick (by Ascii, I believe) that had a really illogical button configuration. It had one row of 2 buttons and then a second row of 4. Since, back in that period, the only thing you wanted the stick for was Street Fighter 2, you can tell why some people disliked it. I don't know about how it worked with other games, though. It did seem like an uncomfortable button configuration, though.

ASCII made some damn fine controllers back in the day (are they still around?).

Barring any abuse from a previous owner, you are getting a top quality controller for your system.

You want the one with 3 buttons on top and three on bottom. Any other way is not good. The Super Advantage is not good. I always end up pushing the wrong button. That kind of sucks for the SNES because I always played the NES with the Advantage but I could not play the SNES with the Super Advantage. I mainly just use a handheld turbo controller for the SNES but I still use the Advantage for NES.

Yeah, it's the super advantage... It has that weird button layout. Maybe I'll pass and try to find another SNES arcade stick. Thanks for the info guys.

That fighter stick, the grey one, is fantastic. I can't recommend it, or it's genesis counterpart, enough. I like em way better then even Capcom's official stick.

Y'know, I have the Genesis equivalent of that joystick, and as nice as it is, it just doesn't have enough weight to it somehow. Without a solid, heavy base, I've always found arcade sticks hard to use. I imagine the SNES version would be the same in this respect.

Is it possible to get an adaptor so you can play the x-arcade on the snes?

I know you can get adaptors for the GC, PS2 and the xbox to play the x-arcade, but never heard of one for the snes?

The SuperNes one has a metal base, and is by far the heaviest controller in my collection (Not counting wheels).
