MAME Help

Alright, I downloaded MAME......And I need help.....I dont understand ROMS and Emulators at all, and was wondering how to use this thing.

Well the roms are like the games and MAME is like the system. You need both to play it. You said you download MAME but not roms. If you don't have any roms MAME isn't going to do much. I think there are tutorial online on how to use it. It also depends if your using a Dos or Windows version of MAME. Since there are so many MAME versions out there it's hard to give precise direction on what you need to do to get it working.
