What's the most fanboyish/fangirlish post you've ever made about your tribe outside of the Tribe Island forum?

I stumbled across this one while looking for info on the C64-in-a-joystick thingy:

Back in my Nesworld days I used to talk about River City Ransom a lot but now I keep my lapses of fanboyism to a mininum.

I can't remember when I've been a fanboy outside the tribe forum, but once in a while I get vocal about it in #vbender :)

I still sometimes find myself pointing out to everyone who will stand still that the voice of Vamp is also the voice of Hermes from Futurama.

So...strange...must...tell...everyone!

Also, I was so taken by MGS2, that everywhere on the 'net I went it was practically all I could talk about...

There's probably still people out there wondering why somebody kept making comments in every Fark thread about people's limbs taking over their brains...or intruders hiding in cardboard boxes...

Ah thats easy.... However I think of it less as "A" as much as it is posting in one specific topic.

This thread was the whole reason that I joined DP in the first place. So I could help out QoF and anyone else who cared to know about PSX stuff.

I need to agree with PapaStu there...if you ever have a chance, read our PSX Collector's thread and realize the truly proud and insane fan boys/girls we have on a regualr basis.

Fan sites, memorized inserts, numerically ordered SLUS numbers, Queen's cute avatar, it all just becomes a huge fan blur after a while ;)

I got my NBA 2 Ball watch....I need my NBA 2 Ball game, damn it!

Ya know I clicked on the link that I posted and was sifting through the old posts for fun times sake and I now understand why ive got this extra copy of ThunderForce V sitting next to me ( A great shooter translated and published by that Working Designs crew) :D I forgot that the copy that I had was all messed up so I had asked for another copy if someone saw one. So when I got my tribal care package from Dangerboy a few days ago there it was sitting in with the other stuff that was sent and for the life of me I couldnt figgure out why he had sent it to me.

Thanks Kier for starting this thread!

My loyalties are too evenly divided among the various tribes to really show fanboi colors too much outside of this "survivar gaem." I mean...Epyx had G.I.Joe as well as their MAXX OUT series that brought wonders like Rad Warrior and Death Sword over to the U.S.

Working Designs has some of the most classic imports of all time, and how can I lay smackdown on Atlus, who has revived our cherished Double Dragon and River City Ransom beat-em-ups of the days of yore? As much as I might talk smack about Square Enix, it still hasn't kept me from making their games occupy a decent portion of my collection. Capcom won me over with the Blue Bomber, and Konami has the cherished Castlevania series.

Even the hated EA clan has some claims to fame with their games from days of yore that weren't lame and won't play on MAME.

So maybe I've hung my hat on Nintendo, but that doesn't keep me from running around on them every now and again.

I think that the term....fanboy/girl is a bit... harsh

Sometimes some people just love certain games... that it takes over their lives

People who start using 1337 5p33|< and that sort of thing... poor souls

I rarely ever make a fanboyish/fangirlish post. There's too many of those kind of posts as there is.

I think I may have proclaimed my undying love for Zach when I learned he had worked on Lunar PSX.

I should go find that thread...

Actually, I don't really express my fanboyism outside of the forums....I'm mostly a lover of all games.

I don't think I've expressed it all that much either.

The only thing I ever really say is that Konami is the reason I own a PS2.

I'm in a constant state of fanboyism. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, I will argue with people why Mega man 3 is the best NES game ever.

Okat Megaman 3 is not the best Megaman. I think 1, 2, X2, X3 are all better. Go argue away.

Okat Megaman 3 is not the best Megaman. I think 1, 2, X2, X3 are all better. Go argue away.

You have no idea what powers you toy with.

Mega man 3 is not only the best Mega man game ever, but in my opinion, the best NES game ever. It perfected the mega man formula and reached a platformer perfection, that in my opinion, has yet to be surpassed.

Let's start with the intro. As the game turns on, you are treated to one of the most beautiful songs you will ever hear in your life. Sure, the title screen may be fairly plain, and MM3 doesn't have the detailed story opening of MM2, but this excellent piece of music more than makes up for it.

After you press start, you are brought to a traditional Mega man stage select screen. You've got your standard 8 bosses to choose from: Needleman, Hardman, Shadowman, Sparkman, Geminiman, Snakeman, Magnetman, and Topman. Sure some of the choices were a little...odd (Topman, Hardman) but the level designs cannot be faulted. Each level, of course, has a theme that corresponds to its robot boss. For example, needleman's level is filled with giant needles and porcupine enemies, while snakeman's level takes place in a huge snake-scaled area filled with giant robot snakes. Every level has its own feel, accented by a musical theme perfectly representative of the particular stage.

And the game just keeps getting better. From the revival of the MM2 bosses, to the amazingly meaningful and well done ending, this game is Mega man perfection. No MM game since this one has even come close to surpassing its greatness. This is why I think Mega Man 3 is the best one.

You have been PWNED. Thank you.
