What a day, what a day. I have a hint to all collectors. Don't ebay when you have the Flu and have not slept in 2-3 days and are on prescription cough medicine. So I was at home sick today. Third day in a row with the Flu. Can't sleep cause of the congestion and the coughing. So I decided to browse ebay. So I'm cruising Vintage Games nodding in and out of clarity when I finally pass out. I wake up...drool all over the keyboard with a THANK YOU for purchasing this Buy It Now! I think to myself...uhooh what have I done. So as my vision clears it would seem that I have purchased 47 boxed oddysey games for the Odyssey II...for $220! OUCH! The kicker is that I have aready collected all the Odyssey II US carts and most of the Brazillian! OyVe what a world. Anyway anyone going to CGE in San Jose and looking for a good deal on Odyssey games look out for me! ! LOL

That sucks. Man I was really tired at work the other day and fell asleep at the computer liek 3 times. Now I am happy I didnt have ebay up. :P Talk to the guy. See if he will let you just cover listing fees. Explain what happened.

By the way, any that you can't get rid of, as much as I hate to recommend just eating that cost, I'd heartily recommend you contact PackratVG and see if they'd offer you trade credit for those O2 commons. Granted, you probably wouldn't recoup your $200-odd investment, but the good karma from seeing those commons resurrected as KTAA and Planet Lander carts would be...well...good. :)

Lol, seems like a pretty obvious hint. I would try explaining to they guy the mistake and seeing if there's any way you can just send him a relisting fee or something instead of wasting 200 dollars on oddyssey 2 carts...

Well after some soul searching I decided to not contact the seller and back out. chalk this one to things not to do again. While I absolutely have NO need for these carts I'm sure in time I can at least recoup most of my costs in trades from it. I will say this I have been paranoid all day that I would do it again. I wonder if there is a Nyquil Anonymous?

UPDATE TO THIS STORY!

So my Wife and I get a table at the CGE swap room and sell off most of everything and recoup almost all my cost. It also turns out that the seller visits this forum and was at CGE. She introduced herself to me! Now the funny thing is that I never told my wife about this particular oooopsie so I had to just smile and not get into a long conversation!!!! LOL LOL LOL

Anyway everything turned out really good. A lot of her collection was in better condition than mine. By swapping out the best boxes and instructions I really cleaned up my collection.

Now the only beef I have with her is that she snagged the only copy of AMOK! at CGE while I was selling off her games!

Amok's pretty fun, though. I was playing it with the O2 trackball last night and it was like one of those things where the cops would come to school and put the 'drunk goggles' on you and you can't navigate to save your life. LOL It's a certified joystick game, our Amok is. :P

Thats ok! It was pretty funny at the end I still had about 25 loose carts. Time was up on the room and I saw a couple buy an O2 on another table and I sold my loosy's for $6. I sold 4 Quest for the Rings! All complete and the last one I sold for $6! I had fun though. If I attend CGE I will do it again next year.

I have that problem with CALIFORNIA GAMES. I buy it for every system I own but for some reason when I'm out hunting I forget for what system I have bought it for. Inevitably I end up with multiple copies of it!
