Ninja Gaiden without a doubt. I'll never forget the first time playing these games in awe of the cutscenes!! For it's simplicity it added so much to the game. The music is amazing and alll games have great gameplay and quite a lot of challange. I am the bird dodging master =D.

Because I have only played.... four of those series, I'm going with Ninja Gaiden as well. Its just such a... classic game. Fun, and addicting gameplay.

I'll have to go with Ninja Gaiden. I like the aracade version. The NES and most other version were really good, even though they were completely different from the Arcade, Megadrive and lynx versions.

Is it just me or do you find it strange that the Lynx decided to go with the arcade version and then later go with the Nes port?

It was kind of odd but I did like it as the arcade one never got ported to a home system.

I voted for Monster Rancher before I saw other/none of the above. I always liked Rygar on the NES and PS2 and Mighty Bomb Jack.

Ninja gaiden. I love those games, but I can't beat level three in any of them! They're not quite Ghouls 'n Ghosts hard though.

Just wait till you get to level 6-2 on the NES Ninja Gaiden 1. O_O

"FUCKING NINJAS"-quote from X-Strike Forums about an X-Strike Movie.
I'll go cliche and just pick Ninja Gaiden since it was the only Ninja game ported to the NES. Damn Ninjas must have been intercepting all the other good famicom ninjagames.

What do you mean? There were just about a million Ninja-themed games on the NES. o_O Wrath of the Black Manta and Shadow of the Ninja are just a couple that come to mind.

And don't forget who kidnapped President George Bush. ;)

Don't forget shinobi and countless import ones that we never saw here.

DoA

it needed a vote, plus it was like Square and their FF. the company was going to be "Dead or Alive' after the game was released

I'd have to vote for Dead or Alive also.

I'm not a huge fan of any of the Tecmo games.. I enjoy most all of them, but I think DoA 3 on Xbox has provided myself and my friends the most entertainment out of all of them.

My favourite Tecmo game isn't even a series... good old Tecmo Knights in the arcade (complete with lovely opening sequence - go watch it to see what I mean) playing alongside my brother.

I enjoyed Tecmo Knight. Too bad it was enver ported to a gome system to the best of my knowledge. You could also switch beween characters just was a nice addition.
