Since I’m sharing pics today, I thought I’d show off what happened to my game room:

BEFORE (about 2 years before, so I’m afraid you won’t get the full effect)

AFTER

And the moral of the story is: babies = new priorities

That's a puppy, not a baby.

Keir--when is your wife due?

Mid-October. Hopefully this time it will be a real baby, not a puppy.

I hear ya! Fortunately we had a spare bedroom when our first baby was born in January, but if my wife gets pregnant again I'm going to have to do some MAJOR reorganizing to put everything in my study/gameroom somewhere else. I WILL NOT box anything up!

Congratualtions fellow tribe member. Kids are a wonderful joy and prime real estate takers. :D

Where are you games going to go, Keir?

I can't imagine having a kid and living in the apt I have. Talk about potential nightmare! It would be impossible to baby-proof with all the games sitting in my living room and bedroom (and closet and under bed).

You definitely have your priorities right, Keir. Your future child is really lucky to have a dad that would put aside his personal belongings in lieu of his family. You're off to a great start, buddy.

So I see you took all your games out of that room, but what happend to the walls? they looked nice in the pics with your games, has your house started eating itself in the past 2 years?

LOL

I had to remove the wallpaper to paint the walls, but when I did the plaster underneath was really bad. In some places it came off with the paper! So I decided to tear it all down and put up sheetrock. I'm actually almost done sheetrocking the room (those pictures are over a week old).

I already have another room which I plan to turn into a "play room", so many of my games will remain in boxes but the good ones will go in there and share the space with toys and whatnot.

Ughhh!!! Why did you have to remind me of the nightmares of putting up sheetrock and drywall??? I despise working with drywall.

Congrats though!
