Its a YMMV thing.

If the price ends in a zero, it means the store manager marked down the prices. I've seen several stores do this for $4.90, $2.90, and $.90 for their DC and N64 titles.

If there is another TRU around that sells games at full price, you *MIGHT* be able to get them to do a price match. I had about a 50% success rate. Be sure to take in the receipt and the game for proof, just in case.

Most don't but a few stores do have them. Usually, all of the N64 and DC has a teeny little bit of shelf space, or is in a bin.

I can tell you that the TRU on Tatum and Cactus and Indian Bend and the 101 are all out :)

Heh, damn there's a lot of arizona people on the forum. I'm not gonna go run out and try to find anything, as much of a sega fan that I am I don't like the dreamcast much. My friend is currently trying to finish up the collection but I'm sure he has whatever's left =D.

Yeah toys'r'us is great. I have had alot of good buys at my local store in the past. For example i picked up 3 paper mario's for 10 dollers a piece (open 1 and keeped the others sealed),non-gh xenogears and a lunar eb when they were all long out of print. The best part is that the TRU has a bestbuy and circuit city all in the same plaze. :D

Last time I was in a TRU, they didn't have much for DC, let alone anything worth $5. Did have an assload of $1 strategy guides, though. Mostly newer games, too.

You wonder why there're so many Canadians selling DC games on eBay, it seems many games end up on Canadian soil rather than American.

I went to Toronto area last fall and drove around at least 6 stores (Whitby, Cedarbrae Mall, Don Mills at Lawrence, Eglington at Younge, Queen at Younge [downtown], Pickering, etc), many stores were in the process of marking DC games down to $10, even without the mark downs, I picked a few at $20 and $30. There're many DC titles that I previously thought were rare until I checked the TRUs in Canada, such as Urban Chaos, Strikers Pro 2000,.

I also horded remaining copies of Bangai-O, Record of Lodoss War, Virtual On, Bust-A-Move 4, plus there were plenty copies of Ms Pac Man, Industrial Spy, Disney's Magical Racing Tour, etc. The best part about this is I was able to cherry pick the best conditioned copy (for my collection of course) at clearance prices, unlike eBay where you have to take chance sometimes.

If you live in TO areas, you won't find any of the premier titles for $5 now, most were picked even before last holiday seasons, but I'm sure there're still many titles to get.

Thats funny , because I lived in the U.P. of Michigan when I was a kid.

How long will you be in town ? You should hang out with the "gang" while you are here.

Unfortunately, only 5 days, and its already pretty much tied up spending time with friends and family. I'm going to make it a point to go to this Bookmans I keep hearing about though :)

I should go thrifting sometime....The sky looks gloomy like a dust storm is approaching so it won't be burning hot out. If you're going to bookman's do not waste your time at the mesa store, it blows. Defenitely check out Tucson. I've been meaning to go there for so long again but it's only about a HUNDRED mile drive....bit much.

I was in a TRU in Northern Jersey the other day and they had a bin of DC, PS, PS2, N64 and GBA games with a buy one get one free sale. All games were in the 9.99-14.99 range. Not much DC or N64 in there though:

DC
Sega Bass Fishing
Sega Marine Fishing
NCAA 2002 Football
Virtua Tennis
Virtua Tennis 2

N64
Hey you, Pickachu
Perfect Dark
Conkers Bad Fur Day
and some other Pokemon game.

Might pick up the NCAA and Marine Fishing tonight. $9.99 and one free. :)
