They're not that rare in Europe - I've come across 3 or 4 in the past, and they're on eBay pretty frequently. The original one isn't as desirable as the P.A.R. 2 or 3 because it struggles to play a lot of later imports.

Ditto Anagrama, there everywhere! although the Mark 3 version seems rare enough?.... I sold a few of them about 2 or 3 year ago on ebay (4 of the original and 2 of the Mark 2 version)

But in there plastic box and the little info sheet (all in good to great shape) they get a good price.

In the US, PARs are quite rare in any form, especially the PAR 2 and PAR 3. The first one will usually sell for around US $15-$20 cartridge only ($25-$35 complete), the second around $35-$45 cartridge only ($60-$70 complete), and the third in the neighborhood of $55 cartridge only ($80 complete). I just traded for a PAR 2 from some fellow in Canada who seemed to have lucked into one, and I had to trade 3 of my better PS1 games for it... If by almost any means I could get the PAR 3 in a trade, I would...

They all have that. If yours doesn't state '2' or '3' on the label, it'll be the original one.

That is correct. An original PAR will look like this:

This picture was taken from a currently-running eBay auction.

A PAR 2 will look like this:

And a PAR 3 will look like this:

This set of pics should tell you what you have. And if it's a PAR 3, I most definitely could use it, so send it this way :P .

Jesus! Anyone is more than welcome to offer me $60-$70 for my complete PAR2... ;)

If I didn't already have one complete (mine is complete even down to the registration card), I probably would offer you about $60 US for yours, anagrama. The figures I gave are based off the most recent eBay auctions (at least that I've seen).
