Weekend find... 11/16..11/17

Today was the first time I actually found something at a Thrift Store..I must of walked past it 3 times thinking they had nothing , But on the shlf with tv's and other random stuff was this black storage box priced $14.99 so I opened it up and inside was a Sega Genesis system (2or 3?) differnt fro the 2 I have complete.

I normaly dont go to the thrift stores just from lack of contents but with the rain today and cold no garage sales.

I got some interesting flee market stuff..

beyond the random nes stuff I got a Codemaster's Genesis game that I can only assume is rare only based on the fact that the Genesis cart was different then any seen to date.

Flea Market Finds:
* Commodore 64 boxed with 38 games all for $5
* Various boxed Atari 2600 games like Gorf, Winter Games and Title Match Pro Wrestling for $1.50 each
* As well as a few Genesis titles.

Yesterday was video game day for me:

* Commodore 1581 (3 1/2" disk drive) boxed - $2

* Picked up NES Color a Dinosaur, two NES Ultimas, and other semi-rare NES games for $4 each.

* Picked up Akklaim wireless NES controllers with base for $3

* Went to the Goodwill and they jacked up NES games to $9 each! But they had Dragon Warrior II so I had to do something. I called for the manager and she reduced them to $5 each. She said something like you can't find these games anymore bla bla bla... Any ways, I ended up getting Dragon Warrior II, Final Fantasy, Ninja Gaiden II, and Donkey Kong 3 for $5 each.

* Went to a GameStop and picked up Fox's Peter Pan for $1.50. Then the manager was pretty cool and gave me and my wife free tickets to this Game Cube event going on in town. Nintendo rented out a store and had about 25 kiosks with Game Cubes in them on freeplay. I was able to check out Metroid Prime and Zelda, which look really great.

Today, I got one of my best scores. As I was arguing with my girlfriend over the existence of Bira Bira and she was saying what a stupid name that is, we walk into the thrift and in the corner, I spotted a Vectrex. It was behind the counter, priced at $19.95 and had a bunch of games taped to it.

An almost complete, functioning Colecovision with Venture, all I supplied was a phono cable with a phono to coax adapter.

14 common NES games not worth typing titles, however I did not have about 9 of them, and an NES cosole only, I was told working but not tested.

Home Improvement and Beethoven for the SNES, $12 Cdn for both

I also got a new Kingdom Hearts for $35 US new.
