I had a great day:

Turbografx-16 system w/ two controllers, Keith Courage (Complete), RF Switch, and Boxed Turbobooster- $4!!!!!

I've been looking for a TG-16 forever!! Now to buy me some games! Oh, and Keith Courage isn't that bad a game. I dunno why everyone hates it so much.

I had a major find yesterday. I found a formal rental place that had litterally a couple hundred NES, SNES and Genesis games, all with the original boxes. I had never seen so many NES boxes in one place. Unfortunately the owner didn't seem keen on giving me a bulk discount so I just picked up 8 games for $35. Not too many rare titles but I picked up what I could.

Megaman 2
Megaman 3
Megaman 4
Super C
River City Ransom
Rainbow Islands
Toejam and Earl
Phantasy Star IV

and he gave me the box for Contra since he couldn't find the game. Too bad there weren't any rare SNES titles though. Finding a copy of Megaman X2 or X3 would've made my day.

I havent been out game hunting in a while so I'm pretty thrilled with my finds today at my local CD-Game Exchange store.

CIB Genesis Model 2 with Sonic 2 pack-in. $20.00
Finally a Genesis console to use instead of my Nomad and to hook up my CIB 32x I scored some time ago. So with these two hooked up and off the search list my hunt for a CIB Sega CD begins.

Loose, Doom 32X. $5.00. So I could play something on my 32x. ;)
And a complete copy of Vigilante 8 - 2nd Offense for the DC. $5.00

I did get a new connection at my local TRU, now I have a way to get promotional material from there.

I found some decent stuff at various fleamarkets:

NES:

Contra $3
Crystallis $7 (one of my favorite NES rpgs ever)
Pinball Quest $4

My brother gave me Metal Gear and my uncle bought me a Powerglove, an Atari 2600 wrestling game cart and like my fifth copy of Super Mario Bros. / Duck Hunt.

Sega Master System:

Loose Shinobi $3 and boxed Alex Kidd in High Tech World and Alex Kidd in Miracle World, $5 each.

GB:

Metroid II $5
Metal Gear Solid $5

I also found what looked like a complete Kings Quest III, EGA version for $4, but I didn't buy it, because I'm trying to get out of buying old computer games I can't get to work. I might still pick it up when I go back to that fleamarket.

At another place, however, I did buy The Dig and Discworld for PC for$ 2 each, in jewel cases. The Discworld game, at least the Playstation version, has been kind of a Holy Grail for me. I'm a big fan of the books it's based on.

And recently I bought some weirdass peripheral, an Aura Interactor vest, boxed and unopened although the plastic was a little torn, for $4. It looks like a big speaker that you strap to your back when playing the 16 bit games it works with. The box promises something like you'll "feel every punch," which to me doesn't sound like a good thing. It's probably an exaggeration, but it sounds like a promise the vest's vibrations will beat the crap out of you. I want to try it out, I just hope it doesn't do me any damage.

And I bought some comics and a bunch of VHS anime this weekend.

Today I found:

SNES
Castlevania IV
Un Squadron
Battlechess
Some madden game
Pilotwings
All boxed (maybe complete)
wanted 10 bucks each, passed on those

NES
SMB 2 Complete
SMB 3 Complete
Wanted 5 each, passed on those.

So if anyone in AZ wants some complete nes/snes games at terrible prices go check the goodwill at thunderbird & cave creek and the saver's south of the goodwill at 32nd st and greenway.
