Alright folks. Today I found a Turbografx-16 boxed in the wild. It came with two controllers, Keith courage, an RF adaptor thing, and something called a turbobooster (Which was also boxed). It didn't have an AC adaptor, but I'm using the one from my Model 1 genesis which i've heard works fine.

However, I Can't figure out how to put the Hucard game in this thing! You see, whenever I turn the power switch on, a tab-like thing pops out near the card slot. And when there's a card in there, there's no room for the tab to move, and the system won't turn on. Please help! I was so excited about finding a TG-16, but I can't even get the game to play! I feel like such a noob.

Oh my god. Please ignore and lock this thread. I just realized I wasn't pushing the game in far enough. I feel like such an idiot.

LOL

Sorry, had to! I guess all I can add is that the Turbobooster adds the ability to output with composite cables and has some memory to save games from the Turbo CD.

Or some HuCards too. I know that Bomberman can use the memory banks.

If it makes you feel any better, that's one hell of a find!

Very entertaining thread, thanks!

Also, the Turbo Booster add-on only adds memory if it's the TurboBooster PLUS (which it would say directly on the top).

Glad everyone got a good laugh out of this! Oh well, I got it to work, and I'm VERY happy with this find, especially since I got every thing for only $4. File this little experience under most n00biest moments ever. LOL

LOL Well at least you didn't buy a new, 2nd, Playstation so you could use a Dual Shock controller... and write to Game Informer about it. Anybody remember that issue?

This happened to me when fitting in my game convertor a few times. You pretty much have to push until you can't push father without internally damaging the system. Ouch. LOL

I remember the purple converter was such a pain to use. I'm glad I sold it and got a import system that could play JP games without any problems.
