So far, I have no problem spending over 1k on a MAME cab.
But how much would you spend on a real cab? Any cab.

I'd spend what I had. At the moment, I don't have much, so that reflects what I could pay - so we're talking sub 1K. If I had all the money in the world, I'd probably shell out 100,000 if I had to - just for one game - if it meant that much to me.

As much money as I could afford ;)
I'd love to get one of These (http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=&game_id=7889) (Galaxian 3), as has been mentioned sometime earlier. In a similar vein, Cybersterra looked pretty neat, but it's probably just source code (if even that still exists).
I'd love to have a good condition San Francisco rush arcade machine... Just not enough room here.

i'd play a pretty penny for a mat mania or Terra Presta cab.

Speaking of expensive...I had no idea... http://vr-atlantis.com/vr_systems_guide/21.html
Doesn't look like a figure for the actual game, but rather their VR software (check their About Page), and circa 1996, at that. ho hum.

The only cab I would pay A LOT for would be splatterhouse.

Hmm...according to Coinop.org (http://coinop.org/g.aspx/101664/Galaxian_3.html), it originally cost $3
MILLION
dollars at release, and was only available at Disney World and a couple other places, at first, anyhow. Damn!

reason i ask was bc me and my girl wanted a daytona usa cab.
ebay had 2 listed, one was selling for 3k or so AU money, other is and was still for sale with a BIN of 4599$, which I think is kinda steep since its now on its second listing (to my knowledge)
asking random people I know, and each said theyd drop 3k in a heart beat for it. was just wondering what you guys would feel the most youd spend was :)

5,000....
That's what I'm playing on spending on one cab that I want when I move to a bigger place..
then 3,700..then...1-1,500...
And whatever a South Park Pinball machine costs me..
(Things that I will own that I want)

The most I'd spend on a cab is around $500 myself. Mostly though, that's because I know I can get one for less if I'm patient. If you are in a hurry...you pay top dollar. If you're patient and persistant, you can get almost anything cheap.

Judging from the trends I've seen sitdown cabs to to cost more than your average stand up cabs.
The most I would be willing to spend is $1000 for a Crimson Skies cab.
Neo-Geo 6 slot? $500.
Anything else? It depends on the cab, but usually not more than $200.

$500 is pretty much my cap for a cabinet as well, at least for now.

I would just like to own my very own arcade game first. :( They have a Strikers 1945 cab at my local papa ginos as well as buster bros. Man would just loved to put those in my room. :D

If I had the $ (and I don't), I'd easilly go up to $2,000 for a cherry Classic game, like Gorf with the painted-on conrol panel.

I´d pay up to $500 for a Sega Super Thunderblade arcade machine

I'd probably pay 1,500 for a nice perfect 360s installed happ buttons MvC2 cab. Next to that would be about $700 for an x-men vs. streetfighter cab.

Being spoiled rotten, I wouldn't spend more than $200 on a cab -- that's what a used Astro City / Blast City goes for in Japan. It's a damn shame too, as it's very sleak and cool, where most US cabinets reak of DIY.
I'd hold out for the Blast City though, as most of my PCBs are Tate.

I wouldn't go more than $300.00 for one.

Had a chance to pick up a Capcom Buster Bros. and Time Pilot for $250 each. Buster Bros. was mint, Time Pilot needed some work but the screen and controls worked perfectly. Didn't have the money until my next pay check and they sold them the day before. :(

The most I have ever paid for a machine is $150. Not a bad record considering I have bought, traded and sold away quite a few machines. Most I would probably spend is somewhere in the neighborhood of $500 for a mint Tron or Discs of Tron (prefereably environmental). Not saying they aren't possibly worth more than that but that is all I would be willing to pay.

I paid $410 for my X and o's football (shipped).
What I can spend and what I would spend is to totally different things.
I can't really buy another machine over $300. If I had the money though I would definatly spend a grand. Saying of course there is a machine I want worth that.

For me it depends on the machine, but probably no more than $600.00, cause all the games I want are in that price range, like strikers 1945, and outrun. But I think if I had the money I would spend about a grand on a simpsons pinball machine, only because I am a hardcore Simpsons fan. And also I don't know if they've ever done a Batman arcade or pinball machine, but if they have I'd be willing to part with a good amout of money for one of those as well.

I paid 300 for Contra
245 for Robocop
And I would pay 800 - 1200 for Cyberball :D
Might be selling both Robocop and Contra however :o
