MAME .60 romsite >90k

I went to get the latest version of MacMAME (v. 0.60).

I then downloaded some of the roms listed on DP's site (BTW, Joe, you should try to specify which version of MaME is compatible with the roms). Unfortunately, some of these roms don't work with v.060 (including Tapper and Bubble Bobble) or work at a wrong speed (Pepper II).

So I did a search through Google and found the following site: http://www.gameroom.com/shadowtek/

That site offers 1,581 MAME v. 0.60 roms of 90k and less (therefore, nothing recent there), separated into 19 packs of less than 3 meg each. The vast majority of the roms work fine.

Just thought some of you guys would like to know about that site, since finding a replacement for mame.dk has been at best painful.

Yeah, seems like a great site, except that it offers roms for v. 061 of MAME. This means roms might or might not work in v. 060 (they are likely to work, tho).

I guess I could check on mame.dk for specific rom version history so that I don't download anything for nothing. Hopefully they still offer that service.

Li'l update: yup, Mame.dk still has version update history, which is useful. However, playagain suffers from a user limit. Since it seems to be European (it's in French, and I doubt it's based in Quebec), it'd probably be best to visit that site in the evening. Therefore, I'll try again later.

Thanks anyway for the link! I'll now be able to get the other roms that I didn't get yesterday (such as 1942, which is barely more than 100 k).
