I have a modded xbox and have been loaded all "MY" games (i own them) onto my harddrive to bypass some of the loading times. The funny thing is kotor doesn't seem to want to work at all. Is that a common problem for this game? It still boots and plays find (it's also in mint condition). If anyone has some info please let me know thanks. :)

Your DVDrom drive is likely having issues reading a sector. Have you played the game to the end using your original disc?

No i never got around to finishing the game. Ever one of my other games was loaded just fine though. I read a little something about this (kotor not loading) on another board but didn't know if they were talking about the xbox or pc version.

I'm pretty sure KOTOR is a DVD9 disc (dual layer). If your DVDrom is having issues with errors on the second layer, too many errors wil mean the HD copy won't play.
It happened to a buddy of mine. Some games like KOTOR, and Ninja Gaiden, Spider Man 2, seem to push marginal drives, and make drives show thier first errors. If it's your drive, it will slowly get worse and worse. If you use you HD to play your games a lot, it will take that much longer for the DVDrom drive to die altogether.
I have KOTOR ripped to my HD problem free.

Well i ripped ninja gaiden no problem so i really don't know just yet if it's the drive or the dvd player (it is a samsung so i don't know). Here's hoping that it's not the beginning of the end already. x_x Stupid microsoft (or me). :D
By the way sometimes when i reset a rom it doesn't go back to the dashboard unless i reboot or reset the system. Is that normal on some roms/emulators?
