I am located in North NJ and I am in the market to buy a full size arcade machine. I finally have the space for one. I am not sure what type of game I want and how much it may cost. I know some DPERS are in the NJ area. Is there any local places that sell Arcade machines? I was thinking of a classic game like Pac Man, Ateroids or Space Invaders. But I am not sure
Just looking for some advise.

Try and get a Neo Geo MVS....that way, you will have a full size machine, but you wont be tied down to just one game....and it has plenty of great games on it such as Metal Slug, Samurai Showdown, and King of Fighters....

Somebody mentioned "Superauctions" in another post, which IIRC will be in Cherry Hill NJ on August 28th.

I'm actually looking for one of those. Don't you own one? You live in Pennsylvania right? So we don't live to far apart from each other. If you don't mind me asking were did you get your mvs set up and how much did it run you?
Don't really care how many slots are in it.

Don't get "one game" you should get a cabinet, and swap out the PCBs. MVS is great b/c you can leave the motherbaord in, and only swap out the cartridge. CPS also has a similar system, although the carts are much bigger. IGS/PGM (Asia only) as well as Taito's F3 are all options you should look at.
For those that don't have the space, try a SuperGun... same idea. A box that will allow you to play PCBs on your TV. I played on mine for about an hour last night before crashing... was great!

I don't know if they sell machines to the public..But they are located near the Meadowlands
Betson Enterprises
303 Paterson Plank Rd.
Carlstadt, NJ 07072
(201) 438-4837
Fax (201) 438-4837
I have a Business so I used that to request/find out in on machines..Plus they sent me a Parts-etc Catalog..
I have Spoken to Salesmen over there on the phone and they are really nice..
Plus through Emails.
I know the place is open to the Public ..(on weekdays)I just don't know if they sell to the public((Machines)) since they didn't at one time unless it was a bulk buy.
They did call me after I inquired about a Neo Geo MVS cab that they had in the wharehouse, asking me if I still wanted or was interested in the machine..
That was one machine
I had found one already so I didn't need it.
In a side note..My Tekken 3 & Neo Geo 4 slot/Big Red originally came from that Betson company..
Though I later bought them from an employee of theirs on Ebay who bought them for himself..
I have bought plenty of Arcade machine parts from them...
Betson's has companies all over..

EBAY..An auction listed near us...
That's how I got 4 of my Cabs..
