Group Photo Coordinator

Last year we had a rough time getting everyone together for a huge group photo at CGE. It's going to be impossible to get the SEVENTY people who answered roll call or Janice's badge registration together at once, but it would be really nice this year to try to set a time to get everyone together.

Anyone want to take the challenge?

What a great idea to plan it BEFORE the convention :) That way, we can tell everyone as they come pick up their DP badges at the start of the show.
I'd volunteer, but I need to know a bit more about the location so we can figure out where to group that many people together for the shot.

I don't have much information about the "location". I can tell you that the DP Booth will be at least as big as last year (shown above) and will be in the main exhibition hall. There are two other locations within the convention center - the keynote/theater room and the museum. All three rooms are joined by an immense hallway. Does that help?

I think it does help! Either the museum or the keynote room would be excellent places for a huge group to gather for a photo, I think. The museum would be more appropriate (surrounded by all those great items!), but the keynote room would probably work better in terms of not having other people wandering around in front of the photo :)

Best not to use the keynote room since we'll be holding the auction in there after the main show floor closes.

I wouldn't use the museum either, because there are security issues involved with that and cramming 80 people in won't be a good idea.

Why not just gather at the DP booth? I've got a preview of the floorplan, we're in a fairly wide open area and will have the couch thing going on.

No problem. I'll be there Friday though Monday. So I am open to multiple photos. I'll do a Saturday at 2pm and a Sunday at 2pm. If that sounds good to everyone else.

No hassles, no pressure. Perhaps you could make a big black circle with a white question mark on it and make a mask-type thing out of it? :) Then you could be the 'mystery person'.
