Back in the 80's I belonged to a Commodore/Amiga club. We met once a month and played games/demos. I Miss That. I miss the competition and socializing with friends.
Do these types of gaming clubs still exist?

I used to be in one of those too. In fact, it was also Commodore-related.
The way I see it, this has split into two different kinds of groups:
1. Online communities, including online communities who exchange games and have competitions. Guess what? You're already in one of those. Welcome to the Retrogaming Roundtable.
2. Local gatherings like NECG, the various Michigan meets or the NJ Classic gang do exactly what we used to do in that old Commodore club. You can find one in your area via the "Events and Gatherings" subforum here.

I suppose you could call all the local Michigan meets a club, as stated above. I never really thought about it that way. But, I basically agree with what DP himself said.
