Does SATURN Action Replay work with backups?

OK, I have a modchipped Sega Saturn and Action Replay (I think an early revision because saturn doesn't recognize the extra 4mb in cart) anyway, I have tried several backups which boot perfectly however none of the cheat codes seem to work in for any backups, they load fine but never with cheats enabled. If anyone could let me know if they have had any success loading cheat codes and using backups please let me know. Perhaps the Gameshark for Saturn would work better (with backups?) :D

Have you tried using cheats on games both with a original and a backup? Maybe the cheats your tring don't work or there are problems with them. I'm not a cheat code person so I can't help you out there much.

I only have backups so I can't try on originals. I have tried various codes with over 20 backups which load and play normally but won't work with codes, that is to say when I select codes they just boot normally as if no codes were entered or selected........................

OK, OK, I can't load any of my "Pirated Saturn games" with Action Replay Codes....................
Now, and I KNOW there are other members with modchips and copied Saturn games, could any of you tell me if you have had success using Action Replay codes on your unauthorized/pirated/copied games?

And I LIKE to cheat in games, not always, just when I get stuck or have finished a game and want to check out other aspects of it. If you don't like to cheat ever, cool, good for you, but a lot of people must like to hence the popularity of GameSharks/Action Replay etc, to each his own.................. :D

So if we are past the Cheating/Backups issues maybe some of you can reply please to my original question?

No, it's the combo of my Modchip (for backups) and Action Replay 4in1 to boot imports. No cartridge allows playing of backups ON:Y the modchip I installed enables the booting of backups/copies/CDR burns..............

Yes I've done it with Shining force 3 scenario 3.
