Does anyone have any information on this item? Here is what the Odyssey FAQ has to say:

3.11 - What is the Apex-Magnavox blue card ?

This may be rarest Odyssey add-on part. The blue card is a 2-in-1
double-ender cartridge which combines cartridges 7 and 8 for playing
Handball and Volleyball. This cartridge came in a small plastic bag with
two spare A4 sheets explaining the game rules (they were copied from the
Magnavox versions). Amazingly, they mention that overlays may not be
provided but could be replaced by custom overlays. It is therefore
tempting to think that no overlays ever came with the blue card, as
little is known about it. It is still unknown why this blue card was
released, but at least it is not a pirate, and was manufactured and/or
distributed by Apex-Magnavox in Miami, FL.

I've seen two on ebay in the past year or so and I think there is at least one more around. There is a topic in the collector's guide forum about the value of Odyssey items for the next book. The person who started the post had this item priced at $1000. I think that is too high. The one on ebay a year or so ago went for $400+ with about $200 worth of Odyssey equipment and the one that sold within the past few weeks sold for $260+ with at least $100 worth of Odyssey equipment. There was some question as to whether the blue card in this auction was an Apex 7/8 card but I have been in contact with the high bidder and he says it is an Apex 7/8 card. I'm just curious if anyone has any more information about why this card was made and why none have turned up until now.
