While in Europe this spring I seem to recall seeing it in stores. But searching online and at all my local EBs and Gamestops it doesn't seem like it was released over here.

Walmart.com lists it as out-of-stock and gamestop.com as back-ordered though adding some mystery.

What exactly is the deal?

Never released. No concrete info on that, but I've actively searched for it, and to no avail. N-Gage rep knew nothing about it.

Sad, and I was looking forward to portable Qix. :(

An EB near me had a demo box. According to the ESRB's website, it was released back in January! It sounds like this was released only in very small quantities.

The N-Gage is still alive and kicking? I honestly figured it was dead at this point...

Don't know if it is kicking but it is apparently alive.

Lots of retailers in Europe still carry it. Lots more phone places over there carry it. With subscription discounts you can even get it free lots of places.

The QD is a marked improvement, though the system's achilles heel is still the meagre games list.

I only got it because I had to get a new phone and the QD felt decent enough and the fact that it is a games system is only a bonus.

Paid $99 with T-Mobile's $24.99/month 12 month deal.

I only have a few games so far. Purchased used from ebgames.com:

Tony Hawk is pretty cool.
Rayman 3 is quite good as a 2D platformer.
FIFA 2004 is very enjoyable.

With Worms on the horizon all I need now is a good puzzle game and I will be set.

Is Puyo Puyo any good?

Hey, I've got a few of those myself. :P

I'm still saying unreleased. It was on Gamestop's pre-order list, and I even put some $$ down on it. Then it disappeared without warning, no explanation given. Usually, if the company decides that they're not carrying a game due to lack of interest, they send an email telling the stores that so they can notify their pre-order customers. This was not the case with Taito Memories.

Parodius, I recommend getting Super Monkey Ball and/or Puyo Pop. Stay away from Puzzle Bobble.

Never rely on the ESRB database for release dates. Very inaccurate.

I think one of my Ebgames still has one on the shelf.
