Mame cabinet is just about done! TONS of pics, and more!

Just about done my whole cab. My website is up with a TON of pictures (56K don't beware, just don't even GO)
Cab is JUST about done, I just need to get some smoked glass, and attach the bezel a bit better and I'll be done!

I'd like to know why people seem to think us 56K users cannot load up 4 pictures on a page without there entire system crashing? 56K isn't that bad, and I loaded up everyone of those pictures within SECONDS and without a single problem. I think everyone is Broadband spoiled.

Anyways, the machine looks perfect! Really nice, you need to make some side art for it! I love it man, it's just beyond perfect. I wish I had one. :(

Now stop givin' us 56Kers a bad rep! :P

I was pressed for space inside my cabinet as well, so I dumped the entire case. My computer mobo and hard drive are simply screwed onto the inside side of the cabinet.

BTW, are you sure about the smoked plexi for the screen? That's what I have on mine and frankly, I hate it. Too bad your cabinet isn't a little smaller, I'd give you the piece I currently have.

I've seen side-by-side comparisons (oscar's site) of the smoked versus non-smoked, and it looks REALLY nice. I think it helps cut down on the glare and blur of a TV screen a bit and makes it look a lot sharper.

The last time I owned a 56K modem was 7 years ago. The last time I USED one was a year or 2 ago, and it was only for 2-3 minutes before I walked off in disgust :) Cable modem or DSL is like $10-$15 more per month, no reason not to have it. Maybe you have a good connection, and I had a bad one, who knows.

I forgot to put my price list up there, it's NOT pretty. And if you're making a cab, I suggest NOT doing up a list of everything you bought afterwards, it's depressing.

Probably just a bad connection, either that or you were just spoiled by DSL.

I know DSL is cheap, but there is a reason not to have it, I like AOL...I've been with AOL for 5 years and I've had zero complaints. I see no reason to change just to surf the internet faster.
