I recently purchased this from Gamestop. Traded in Smackdown Here Comes The Pain for 18.00
I can't believe Smackdown, an older game, has a trade in value of 18 bucks while a game like the Suffering, only commands 11.00
Oh well.
Anyway last night it was 3 AM and I had just finished talking to my girlfriend. I told her it was time for me to sleep. Weeeell.... I just had an urge to play the Suffering for a bit before packing it in. A "bit" turned out to be an hour and 15 minutes or so. :D
I wasn't far into the game. I was right at the beginning of chapter 2 "Descending" where I had to kill all those needle monsters and transform into my MONSTER alter-ego.
I'm now at Chapter 4... I just got by the shower area where when I turned on the water out came all those injection-death-induced freaks.
I was curious what everyone thought of the Suffering, any version of it. It's a cool game... but I see myself playing through it once and then getting rid of it. It kinda feels like Silent Hill in little ways.... overall I'm quite digging it.
