I pulled out my N64 a few days ago and went digging through my collection of games. I really enjoyted playing F-Zero again, as well as Beetle Adventure Racing, Hydro Thunder, Conkers, Excitebike 64, Rayman 2, Sin & Punishment, Wetrix, and a couple of others.
As I played for a few hours each night, I came to the realization that while many games in the N64 library are truly excellent, the system seems to have more than it's fair share of stinkers. The domestic Sega Saturn library is similar in size to that of the N64 and is often sited for having a large amount of crap games, but I don't remember playing on so many bad games in a row as I did when I started digging throgh my N64 collection.
I vote for Superman 64 as having the dubious honor of being THE worst N64 game, with Carmageddon 64, Transfomers, and Monster truck all vying for the next worst designation. What's the biggest crappile on the N64 in your opinion?

With the few N64 games I've played I'd go with Quest 64.

of those listed, i never played any of them...of the games i have played, i would say that star wars pod racer is the WORST n64 game out there.

Not Star Wars Episode I: Racer! I loved that game! Well, maybe LOVE is a bit much, but I certainly liked it. I remember it being very, very fast. Maybe I'm biased because it was my first N64 game (It was the pack-in game for awhile.) I do remember it looed a lot better with the Expansion Pak in... that's a cool little memry do-dad there. Too bad Nintendo was too cheap to just give the N64 more memory in the first place.

I too remember Quest 64 as being quite awful... it was the first RPG (ish) game on the N64. You have to give them credit for an original and exciting game title, though.
Fortunately for Quest 64, Superman 64 makes it look like a Zelda game by comparison.

I have a gut feeling that Superman will own this poll.
As for Pod Racer....man, that game is great! The DC version is of course a bit better, but I'm surprised someone would think it's one of the worst games on the system. But, I guess if you've never played any of the games in the poll, anything could be possible.

I have to say, out of the titles listed that I played it's gotta be Supes 64. No other game on Fishsammich's list got as much hype and put out as much BS as Superman 64. It's the only game I can recall where the fogging is called a "feature" (Kryptonite fog, as the company called it) rather than the shoddy coding that it really was.
As for Episode 1: Racer- that is actually a pretty cool game if you have the expansion pak. I was surprised at the overally image/performance quality.

Cruis'n USA and Quest 64 aren't that horrible, in my opinion.
War Gods and Xena are easily a couple of the worst ones I own. I haven't the "pleasure" of trying Superman 64 just yet. ;P

I'm surprised this poll even needed to be made...everyone seems to think Superman 64 is about the worst game ever, let alone for the N64. On G4's "Filter", when they did their worst games ever top ten, the final two mentioned were this one and E.T. Predictable results, eh?

I remember it was shenmue and e.t or was that a different episode?
I loved how they said shenmue was the worst game ever made. x_x

I bought an N64 for Pod Racer, so I'm a bit biased too -- although I do remember at the time the memory expansion pack didn't seem to make a heck of a lot of difference.

That reminds me about roadsters by titus for the n64. Man that game was just pure fodder. Me just thinking about that game makes me want to run to the bathroom and puke my brains out. All the dumb thing the characters would said ever you selected them. Bitching!!! Not really.

You must be thinking of a different episode. I clearly remember that this one has Superman 64 and E.T. as the final two. They may have had a similar countdown...perhaps it was most disappointing or some such...
