I defintely agree that this is NOT worth $300. Dragon Warrior I is basically worthless, so you end up paying $100 each for 2,3, and 4. Those games are worth some money, but not that much.

While lots filled with random games tend to sell for less than each of the individual games would go for, lots filled with series or otherwise related games tend to go for more than they would separately.
People want a collection of that series maybe, for whatever reason, and are willing to pay a little more to avoid the hassle of looking and looking and looking and looking and bidding and bidding and bidding and finally paying and paying and paying over and over again.

wow, that is just sick. DW4 goes for as high as $80 complete and mint, DW2 and 3 complete and mint go for anywhere between $30-$80 each, and DW1 goes for around $30 sealed. AT MOST at those figures, would be $270. right now that auction is almost twice as what these games would go for individually on the high end. i wont be surprised if it is ruined.

Did you check the high bidder's previous auctions? He has a tendency to bid on Complete RPG's and then decide he doesn't want them....No way this guy's getting the $510.

Hopefully the seller is aware of that.
DW 4 is for sure the most expensive....it Enix had released the remake of the game for the PlayStation in the States, the price would have dropped like it did for DW 1-3 when they came out for the GBC. But I would'nt pay more then $200 for that lot, as nice as it is.
And yes, collections like this do tend to go for a bit more....I don't mind paying more for a bunch at once, cause it IS convient, but not THAT much. :o

Well its an all in one auction with that extra packet of Nintendo power stuff but no way is it worth $500. $300 maybe for someone who dosen't have any of them and has money to burn.

Actually for the PSX DQ4R they remade it using the DQ7 game engine which might turn some people off who don't like the changes. One of the biggest being that the game is in 3D now. It might not of gone down in value as much as the other ones but I guess will never know for sure. At least they fixed the thing in Chapter 5 so you can manual control your character other than just chosing between battle stretegies.

Well, I'll never play it anyway -- no sence in playing games not in English if they are RPG's -- I was just pissed when Enix canceled the release.
DW 4 was always my favorite of the series. I really liked how you changed people each chapter and finally got the hero at the end and united them.
I hated DW 7. I loved DW back in the day but I played 7 and I was like 'Where's the change?'. Final Fantasy and many other RPG's had evolved with the times. DW 7 felt like it was made 15 years ago, save for the graphics. Borring game play, no story, stupid battles....ugh.
Oh, I had the official hint book for DW 4 at one time also. I sold that sucker for big money also. :D

If your like me you can play the import version from memory of what the story was in the NES one. The thing in chapter 5 where you can't manual control the people drove me crazy which is why I played the import PSX one. Other than the opening part, the immgrant town, and the added chapter six the game is mostly the same.
Other than the so so storyline and the length of the game I thought Dragon Warrior 7 was fairly good. If you play farther the game has class system like DQ6 and FF5 does. It's too bad the beginning part really drags on and most people won't play it cause of it.

Bah. I loved Dragon Warrior 7, but I think I probably loved it for the same reason I enjoyed Chrono Trigger. I'm a sucker for games with time travel that allow you to explore cities from multiple eras and pick out the causes and effects of their history. Plus I enjoyed the characters, and the dialouge although I can see where the game would be bland story wise if you neglected to use the "talk" feautre regularly.
I don't see how you can say the battles were stupid though, they play just like every other Dragon Warrior game.

what is wrong with all of you people? its not even worth $50 (i would buy it for that much) but why would you buy a game that you wont play? To collect right? Its so useless to collect, better to buy it than sell it not keep and let it collect dust, you dont even know if its going to go higher in price or if its going to drop in price. $600 for 4 games so rip, id rather pay $600 for something i can actually use. Those type of people are sad, very sad. Feel quite sorry for them

It's one thing to get your point across, it's another to basically insult our hobby with half-knowledged garbage such as this. If you want to state your opinion, how about next time do it in a manner that doesn't make you look like an ass.
And since that point was made, no, this is NOT worth 600.00...so I'm not justifying that.

How are the four games, complete not worth $50? That's 4 complete games, 2 of which are considered rare for the price of one new PS2 game. You'd get a lot more play time out of 4 nes RPGs then you will most next gen games.
Also why would you assume anyone that's buying complete games have no intention of ever playing them? They're not sealed. I buy complete when I can (although not for $600) and I certainly play them.
Are these games worth $600? No. But then again $600 isn't a lot of money to some people. I wouldn't say them, or their hobby is sad, they just have different priorities then some of us.

depends. some people might want to play it that badly. i have way overpaid for one or two games so i could play them.
