Never let it be said that Arqueologia_Digital doesn't like Burgertime. After an extra week of Super Burgertime as the MAME Club pick AND starting a Burgertime thread today, Arqueologia_Digital has also picked the original Burgertime as this week's MAME Club game. It's enough to make you turn vegeterian, I tell you.

Super Burgertime is Arqueologia_Digital's MAME Club pick of the week!

Grab some pepper, a spatula, some magic jumping shoes or a led pipe, teach those veggies a thing or two about who makes a mean sammich, and ...

... MAME ON!

Wouldja believe that I used to play the NES version of Burgertime all the time as a young'un? I quite sucked at it, I usually couldn't get past the second level. Now that I try it on MAME, I guess I'm better at it... now I die on the third level! LOL

Seriously, Burgertime rules, but can't they make the pepper capacity a little more forgiving?

Nah, you don't need ANY peppers until the screen with the little sideouts at the very bottom. :)

This was never really one of my kind of games. I played it a few times in the arcades and only could get to the 2nd or 3rd level.

Anyone else had a chance to pull this dusty classic off and give it a go?

I usually play this for a quick go at it on MAME at times. Depending on how I'm doing I can usually get to the 3rd level, unless the game starts to cheat. :P

What's left to say? I really don't think any of the home versions work like the arcade did. Without pure 4-way control, it just doesn't work.

I do remember the walking peppers scaring me back when I first played it. :embarrassed: Not sure why, but their movements are just freaky.
