As far as I know its just a VERY limited system (100 units sounds right) that was to commorate the 10,000,000 units that shipped for the PS. I dont believe that it was region free but there really is so little out about this PS that I honestly dont know.

The system's rarity isn't so much in it's coloring, but its uniqueness. The packaging is custom for the system, the serial numbers / serial plate are exclusve to that series, and out of 10,000,000 systems, only 100 of these exist. Yeah it's pretty damn impressive. As is the fact that it still has the personalized letter and *inked* autograph of a Sony rep congratulating them.

The sytems are NOT region free (The serial plate clearly states NTSC U/C) and SOny's only systems that allowed region free were either the Blue Debug Units or the Yaroze. One was industry only, one required a specific memory card just to turn on. Good possibility they wouldn't make this universal.

Consider that out of the 100 that exist, all 4 DP PSX hardcores (Kristine, Kevin, Papastu, myself) have only seen a total of THREE, with this being the third, and most beautifully depicted/archived reference ever.

You know how many I'd kill to be able to sit down and play NBA 2Ball on that thing?

Seriously though after talk with parents about this, I will be making a move on this. Problem is who else is going to be looking at this and how high it might fly. Im hoping that a 1Grand opening is enough to make sure that most arnt even going to think about bidding on it.

According to my math, it ends at 7pm pacific, which would make it 9pm central on Aug. 23 (Monday). :)
